Sami's Art has evolved from many years of varied experiences and experimentation in different forms of art.
My featured image is a watercolor I did a few years ago of roses. I can’t wait until all the flowers bloom so I can do more watercolors. That summer I did the hydrangeas you see on my other pages and the daffodils and pansy watercolor as well as the tulip watercolor.
Spring Flowers 2016!
This weekend I spent a lot of time outside doing yard work and cleaning out flower beds. Mama Duck wasn’t happy with me trying to peek at the eggs. She sent me scurrying into the house and waited til I closed the door. I have a duck with attitude. She looked like she had her wing on her hip and was saying this is my yard. I didn’t get a picture of her in that pose as she was hissing and I was moving away quickly. Later I got this photo and I was actually surprised at how small she is. I am hoping to get some great pictures of the ducklings growing up, that is if Mama Duck lets me in the yard. This is going to be an interesting spring!
I took some time to do a little sketching and pencil work with my tulips and got some great photos too. The colors this year are so vibrant. I am not sure what the little blue flowers are but they were around my fountain area and were so dainty I just had to take pictures and play with sketching them. I used my new Apple iPad Pro to sketch the flowers. I love its versatility. The snow didn’t seem to hurt the flowers at all. I hope you enjoy.
